Sara Wilson - Owner
Sara is a 5th generation farmer, and her family is originally from the country in Sweden. However, She studied renewables in college and originally worked in the solar industry for many years. She decided to return to her farming roots when she recognized that the US has an exceptionally broken food industry, highly dependent on mono cropping, and concentrated animal feeding. She wanted to grow and offer a healthy and ethical alternative to the greater Houston area.
What she likes the most about her job is the connection it creates to her community through a common passion for clean, ethical food products. She also likes how her job allows her to work outdoors and connect with nature while being a good steward of the land.
“I honestly believe eating local is very important; it gives individuals the opportunity to know the people that grow the food they put on the table. This allows residents to establish a deeper connection with the food they eat.”
